Georgia Power Company’s Plant Scherer,  located in Juliette Ga., near Macon, is rolling right along. The initial start date for the Gypsum Stackout Mechanical Package was in March of 2010. CAM is under contract to install 27,000 linear feet of 8 inch and 10,500 linear feet of 12 inch HDPE fused joint piping and associated valves. There is also 4,100 linear feet of 6-way 4 inch and 1,100 linear feet of 18-way 4 inch electrical duct bank to be run. Three pump stations, two electrical and communication buildings must be installed, 26,000 linear feet of fiber optic cable must be buried. In the midst of all this, C.A. The Gypsum Stackout contract is on schedule, and the expected date of completion is May 2011.
