In March, SW&B awarded C.A. Murren site/civil work at the Owens Corning Roofing Plant in Atlanta to increase their paved storage area and improve their product load-out facilities.  The project includes the removal of over 2,000LF of spur railroad track and stone ballast.  Site clearing, grubbing, and several small buildings will be demolished and removed.  A new storm water detention facility will be constructed, and over 10,000 cy of structural fill will be imported and placed to establish the new paved storage area.  In the final phase, nine storm water management structures and over 700LF of CMP will be installed prior to placing 1,200LF of new Curb and approximately 12,000syds of new Heavy Duty and Commercial paving.
